Chaiten is an active volcano in Chile. The height above sea level is 1122 m. The volcano is located in the Los Lagos region, 10 km northeast of the village of Chaiten and the Corcovado volcano, 15 km west of the Michinmauida volcano. The volcano's caldera is about 3 km in diameter, and there are several crater lakes at its bottom.
